Need inspiration for fall break activities for the next few weeks? We share ten fun activities at our monuments during the fall break.
From Groningen to Zeeland: all over the country you will find our monuments. There is plenty to do and experience in the monuments. Especially during the autumn holiday period from October 14 to October 29, 2023, all kinds of activities are planned. Monument Ownership listed some of them for you.

Visit the installation by world-renowned artist Marinus Boezem. He brings the wind inside with an installation that softens the architecture of the church through undulating canvases.
During the vacations, the linen, embroidered rug - part of Boezem's work - is completed by the volunteers. This shows the tower of the Great Church that was ultimately never completed. During the vacations, visit Thursday through Sunday, through Oct. 30.
During this event you can experience the Ruïne van Teylingen again as it was originally. Especially for children, all kinds of educational activities will be organized, such as arrow and archery and a workshop sword fighting with knights.
In everyday life we do not dwell on the origin of the kilo or the meter. What exactly is calibration and what does Napoleon have to do with it? How is it that a kilo is the same all over the world? On the moon, is a kilo still a kilo?
Find out at the Libra Museum in Naarden. The museum is located in the former weigh house; a fourteenth-century building with an eventful history... The museum is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
You start at the Yellow Pilot and during the walk you will pass all the sights, both in the city and around it. The tour takes about 75 minutes, get tickets at the Yellow Pilot.
You can still visit the exhibition through Oct. 23! Tickets available through the East Church.
The workshop will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 24 and Thursday, Oct. 26. Places are limited, so book your tickets quickly through Radboud Castle.

Discover the stories of how the gate used to serve as a defensive structure and the rich history of the city of Zwolle. During your tour you can also look inside this special monument!
Built in the years 1467-1512, this Gothic tower was long used as a beacon for mariners. First with stoked fire, later with lighthouse light. Find more information through the Tower Museum, located in the building.
The church can only be visited through Oct. 30, after which it will close to the public until early May 2024. Check the website of St. Bavo Church in Aardenburg for the latest updates.
