Bpay a visit to Kasteel Radboud in Medemblik. A glimpse inside the medieval castle dating from 1288 is worth the visit alone. The final weeks of the exhibition 'Surrounded by Castles' have also begun. Step into the panoramas of the five castles that Count William II and his son Count Floris V had built in West Friesland. With the archaeological finds on display, the history of the castles in West Friesland is tangible.
Are you more of a fan of classic architectural styles? Then come to the Achterhoek and book a guided tour of Castle Slangenburg! Accompanied by a guide, you will walk through the centuries-old corridors and view various rooms filled with paintings and impressive furniture. You will learn everything about the former residents, life in a castle, and the building's history. The guided tours are currently on Saturdays and Sundays at 1:30 p.m.

Naarden-Vesting is one of the best-preserved fortified towns in the Netherlands and, as part of the Dutch Waterlines, has UNESCO World Heritage status. The fortress is a wonderful place to walk around, and there is also plenty to see and do in the fortress museum. The Dutch Fortress Museum is located on the Turfpoort bastion. In the outdoor area and in the casemates of this 17th-century heritage site, you can discover the story of Naarden-Vesting in the history of the Netherlands. During the spring break, they offer free guided tours. The monthly shooters' day is always an experience. On Sunday, February 15, the men of the gunnery team will fire the cannons at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.!
On Sunday, March 1, the Ruïne van Brederode the new season! The protected bats emerge from hibernation and the Ruins of Brederode reopen their doors to regular visitors.
